I had a wonderful week off last week. Mom came to visit for a few days, and we spent lots of time with Auntie J and Lex. I took the boys to Taste of Edmonton and then they splashed in the pool at City Hall for a bit. It was very, very hot but we had a great time. It was my birthday during the week and I got an MP3 player which is a wonderful gadget – so much better than a CD player (and I still remember getting my first walkman, back in the days of cassette tapes!!!)
Now it’s back to work for this week and next before we head to Fairmont for another vacation week. I’m really looking forward to it. Work will be so crazy for these two weeks though – I sure hope I don’t fall too far behind. Oh well, busy days do go quickly!
A woman I work with is due to have her second baby soon. It’s very weird for me, part of me is jealous that she is having a baby when I’m not – another part is relieved! I started this blog expecting to be chronicling a pregnancy and third child and instead here I am contemplating never having another baby. I don’t know how to feel about that – sad and concerned and excited and restless. I’m glad it’s not a permanent decision one way or the other – I like the door being open for now – but in a few years it’s going to bang shut – one way or another.
Oh my goodness – I’m in trouble I think. Xander learned how to crawl out of his crib last night. Isaiah never climbed out of the crib – or his bed for that matter! Xander isn’t even two yet and now we’re likely going to be moving him to the toddler bed asap. First we need to buy Isaiah a real big boy bed though and I was definitely hoping we could put that off until the fall sometime. I think having Xander in a bed will be tiring – I know he’s going to try and run around in his room at night instead of sleeping. I am tired just thinking of it!
Oh well – otherwise life is pretty good. I’m having fun figuring out the photography thing and am hoping to take the kids somewhere fun this weekend where I can practice – maybe the Devonian Gardens? We still have to finish the fence though, so I’m not sure what DH’s plans are.
The best thing though is that it is Friday and I only have one more week until my vacation – yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
