Choices

Wow – I haven’t written in quite a while. Life has been it’s usual hectic self – good though. The boys are still growing like crazy – Isaiah will be five in a month!! Kindergarten feels closer than ever. And as the time passes, I realize if I had another baby now – Xander would be 3 when it was born and Isaiah would be almost 6.

Why am I talking about another baby when we “decided” we were done with two? DH came home the other day talking about a coworker planning for their third child next year some time. That, combined with DH’s recent talks about getting the big V soon, made me really stop and think. I still want another baby…I think.

I go back and forth on this all the time. DH said two was enough but when I tell him how I’m feeling he says he loves kids and is open to more if I want. So back on me is the choice.

I know I have time to do this, yet with Xander getting older I feel like I’d rather decide sooner rather than later – the 3 year gap was great, but I don’t want 4-5 years between kids. I would love to have a baby in the fall which means I should ttc in the next 3-4 months at latest. Still a summer baby would be okay and then I could wait even longer. With Isaiah in kindergarten it might be best to have a baby at least half-way through the school year or towards the end. I would be able to do my parent duty days more easily than I would with a tiny baby.

So many things to factor in and think about.
