Good News Monday

Well I sure haven’t posted in a while – I can be such a slacker! But today is shaping up to be such a good day I had to post!

First when I got to the office I found out I co-won (that isn’t a word is it?!) the annual Oscar prediction contest – I didn’t actually get that many right, but apparently 16/28 was good enough! Then I got called into the deputy director’s office and was offered a new job that I had been trying for – I felt so good to know I was selected. So sometime in March I will officially be a paralegal instead of a legal assistant, and the position goes until next January at least, maybe even a little longer (it’s a mat leave cover-off).

Now tonight I have a volleyball match at 6:15 which means a crazy rushed pick-up at daycare, change of clothes and grabbing of snacks/toys at home and off to meet LJ who will watch the kids while I “play” volleyball. The team seems to only win when I’m not there but hopefully tonight will be a better game, in keeping with my happy Monday!
