It’s definitely……

A baby – but who knows if it’s a boy or girl? Not me, at least not until the next ultrasound. I know I’m so lucky that the baby seems really healthy and it’s growth is right on track. Apparently it weights around 12 oz already and is measuring a few days ahead, but right in the right range. I saw it try to suck its thumb and move its head lots. My placenta is apparently anterior so that explains why I don’t feel movement as often/strongly as I thought I would by now. I felt so much movement early on that I was starting to worry quite a bit since I was only feeling a bit of movement lately and still can’t really “see” the movement.

So all in all it was a good ultrasound appointment and I’m now half way through the pregnancy. I guess we better start doing a little shopping soon and getting ready! And in 3 weeks we have a private ultrasound booked and we certainly should find out the gender at that point.

And soon after the private u/s we are off on a week’s vacation to BC. It should be really nice to get away for a while and when we come back it will be a whirlwind getting ready for Isaiah to start kindergarten!!!
